This award recognises impact investors and their commitment to supporting businesses that are really making a difference on environmental issues. Judges will look at the overall performance of the firm, including exit returns and portfolio growth. This category is for firms whose investment strategy is focused entirely on impact investing.

This award recognises impact investors and their commitment to supporting businesses that are really making a difference on social issues. Judges will look at the overall performance of the firm, including exit returns and portfolio growth. This category is for firms whose investment strategy is focused entirely on impact investing.
03. Impact Fund of the Year: Performance
This award recognises dedicated impact funds (the fund needs to be at least 50% realised) run by mainstream private equity houses. Judges will look at the fund’s overall performance, standout deals and its ability to deliver both financial and impact returns for its investors. This category is for firms who have many types of fund but have a dedicated impact fund worth celebrating.
04. Impact Fund of the Year: Fundraise
This award recognises the standout fundraising programme completed by a GP on an impact fund during the judging period (i.e. since 1 January 2024). Judges will consider a number of factors to measure success, including, but not limited to, the speed of fundraising (from launch to final close), appetite for commitments from existing and new LPs and any innovation demonstrated in the structuring terms and conditions governing the vehicle. This category is open both to impact funds raised by mainstream GPs and funds raised by impact investors.

10. Deal of the Year: Environmental
This award recognises how a firm has made a significant impact on a portfolio company’s environmental efforts and improvements. Judges will focus on the entire lifecycle of the deal, and how the firm integrated environmental and sustainable improvements throughout. Entries must relate to companies exited since 1 January 2024 and will be assessed primarily on progress made on ESG since acquisition, rather than the intrinsic sustainability of the portfolio company.
11. Deal of the Year: Social
This award recognises how a firm has made a significant impact on a portfolio company’s social efforts and improvements. Judges will focus on the entire lifecycle of the deal, and how the firm integrated social improvements throughout. Entries must relate to companies exited since 1 January 2024 and will be assessed primarily on progress made on ESG since acquisition, rather than the intrinsic sustainability of the portfolio company.
12. Sector Specialist of the Year
This award recognises a sector-focused private equity firm that has achieved strong ESG outcomes across their portfolio. Judges will look at how ESG is integrated within your firm’s investment strategy, how ESG data is collected, analysed and reported, as well as how your ESG policies stand out from your peers. This category is open to firms with sector-specific investment strategies.
13. Secondaries Investor of the Year
This award recognises commitment to best practice in environmental, social and corporate governance from an investor in the secondaries space. Judges will look at how the investor incorporates sustainability into fundraising, new deals and realisations, as well as the overall evolution of the firm.
14. LP of the Year: Institutional Investor and Asset Manager
This award recognises an institutional investor’s commitment to best practice in environmental, social and corporate governance. Judges will look at how the investor supports sustainable investment efforts and best practices across its private equity managers, and how its policies stand out from its peers.
15. LP of the Year: Fund of Funds
This award recognises commitment to best practice in environmental, social and corporate governance by a fund of funds. Judges will look at how the investor supports ESG efforts and best practices across its private equity managers, and how its policies stand out from its peers'.
16. Consultancy of the Year
This award recognises the success of sustainability advisory professionals in supporting the private equity community. The judges will look at demonstrable customer and revenue growth, as well as how new initiatives, products or services have aided the business and helped their clients since January 2024.
17. Placement Agent of the Year
This award recognises the success of placement agents in supporting the private equity community with sustainability-related fundraising. The judges will look at demonstrable customer and revenue growth, as well as how new initiatives, products or services have aided the business and helped their clients since January 2024.
18. Fund Administrator of the Year
This award recognises the success of fund administrators in supporting the private equity community in ESG compliance, reporting and sustainability portfolio monitoring. The judges will look at demonstrable customer and revenue growth, as well as how new initiatives, products or services have aided the business and helped its clients since January 2024.
19. Technology Provider of the Year
This award is designed to reward firms displaying excellence in sustainability technology. The judges will look at demonstrable customer and revenue growth, as well as how new initiatives, products or services have aided the business and helped its clients since January 2024.
20. Due Diligence Provider of the Year
This award is designed to reward firms displaying excellence in ESG due diligence. The judges will look at demonstrable customer and revenue growth, as well as how new initiatives, products or services have aided the business and helped its clients since January 2024.
21. Legal Adviser of the Year
This award recognises the success of ESG legal professionals in advising the private equity community. The judges will look at demonstrable customer and revenue growth, as well as how new initiatives, products or services have aided the business and helped its clients since January 2024.
22. Data Provider of the Year
This award is designed to reward firms displaying excellence in providing ESG data services. The judges will look at demonstrable customer and revenue growth, as well as detailed overviews of how new initiatives, products or services have aided the business and helped its clients since January 2024.
23. Lender of the Year: Bank
This award recognises the success that banks have had integrating sustainability into their products and working with the private equity community. The judges will look at demonstrable customer and revenue growth, as well as how new initiatives, products or services have aided the business and helped its clients since January 2024.
24. Lender of the Year: Alternative
This award recognises the success that non-bank lenders have had integrating sustainability into their products and working with the private equity community. The judges will look at demonstrable customer and revenue growth, as well as how new initiatives, products or services have aided the business and helped its clients since January 2024.
25. Corporate Finance House of the Year
This award recognises the contribution of corporate financiers advising on private equity deals since January 2024. The award will be given to the firm that can demonstrate how it has provided strategic and technical support on sustainability to help clients win auctions and add genuine value on exit. Growth of market share, deals advised on and overall evolution of team and strategy will also be taken into account.
26. Hall of Fame
The Hall of Fame recognises the contribution of a sustainability leader within private equity. This includes their ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, successful buy-in of sustainability within their firm and the implementation of strategies within their portfolio companies.
